 In the time of Troy, the Myrmidons were brave and skilled warriors commanded by Achilles. However the Myrmidon tradition would continue long after the death of their leader, made up of people from around the ancient world, they were very much a mercenary army. Their fighting skills were said to rival that of Sparta in one on one combat. Loyal to their leaders and known to never waver in the face of the impossible. The Myrmidon warriors were the perfect ally to assist the Spartans in their battle against the [[:Category:Gorgon Horde|Gorgon Horde]]. Their fearlessness and skill could win the day.

 The Myrmidons were less of a military and more of a mercenary army, willing to fight to the last for honor, glory, and, of course, money. They fought alongside the Spartans, Athenians and all of Greece during the Gorgon War. It's hard to imagine that the Gorgon Horde was really so powerful that all of these forces combined were needed to hold them off.

Once bitten, these once proud warriors were completely obedient to Eurayle.  Unbeknownst to [[Stheno]] and [[Medusa]], she commanded legions of these warriors from all over the lands and used them to wage war on mankind.  Although they retained their cunning and fighting skills, they tended to lose focus once the task at hand was completed, until Eurayle gave them another mission.

+<br />The facts surrounding the fate of Eurayle and her disciples is murky at best.  Towards the end of the Gorgon War Eurayle seemed to have vanished, as there are fewer and fewer mentions of her or her disciples.  The final writings of them mention a power struggle between Eurayle and Stheno and the withdrawl of the disciples from the war.  After that, there is no evidence of them.
